MY CANCER JOURNEY
A rogue invader came by stealth
To plunder and to feast
Organs sweet and succulent;
My treasured jewels of health.
The scanner showed him big and bold
The scalpel sealed his fate,
Then Chemo cast its toxic fire;
His fragments to cremate.
So now I’ve trekked that tough terrain
And live to tell the tale
Of all who trod that path of pain
To fight and die – not fail.
And now in grateful, pensive thought
I ponder and see why?
This warning came from Heaven
To caution this old guy.
