MY GARDEN
Inside of me I have a precious peace
That rescued me on many an anguished day
My garden with its therapeutic clay
My place of meditation and release.
The trees and shrubs all harmonise in voice,
Flowers, fruit and veggies wink and smile,
Birdsong serenades me all the while;
How could I not be happy and rejoice.
How blessed I am this solace to possess,
A haven full of warm and quaint delight
As o’er my head the sun is shining bright
This heavenly gift I always will caress.
I listen to the words my garden say,
Wisdom that is passed down from above,
Imbuing me with kindness, peace and love,
To guide me and protect me on my way.
