Oh the gentle sound of silence
Fading out life’s deafening roar.
Oh to make this moment linger,
Joy, serenity of yore.

Oh the beauty of the stillness,
Easing down life’s ebb and flow.
Gently soothing cares and illness,
Lifting spirits drooping low.

In quiet peace of mind, I ponder
Thoughts of golden moments past,
Joyous memories of yonder,
Now all gone, their shadows cast.

Thank you Father for this treasure.
Silent, tranquil, perfect place.
Now I go and do your bidding,
Soul imbued with Heavenly grace.
