The Demon Drink is such a force
He makes us sing and fight and curse.
He also causes hurt and pain
To life and limb, to heart and brain.
Leaving anguish and remorse.

He always conquers in the end
The fools that see him as a friend.
For he will find their weakest link.
The Demon Drink.

With some he fails to kill the soul
Because they exercise control.
But other weaker fools who think
That they can pull back from the brink,
Will find he swoops with vicious toll.
The Demon Drink.
